The Kentucky-based EQL Games has secured a gaming-related vendor license from the UAE gaming regulator – the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
The company shared the news on Thursday (April 10) stating that the license will allow EQL Games “to offer a suite of high-end gaming products in the UAE on any regulated gaming platform with a focus on lottery.”
The Louisville business delivers first-to-market products, both as an original game studio and as a third-party content aggregator.
“Securing this license marks a significant step for EQL Games as we continue our mission to bring innovative, secure, and responsible lottery solutions to markets worldwide,” said Brad Cummings, CEO and Founder of EQL Games.
“We are honored to be recognized by the UAE’s regulatory authorities and look forward to supporting their vision for a well-regulated digital lottery experience.”
This comes after the GCGRA was established in September 2023, with the aim being for this to introduce a regulatory framework for commercial gaming.
It also has the tasks of regulating and licensing all forms of commercial gaming including lotteries, internet gaming, sports wagering, and land-based gaming facilities.

The GCGRA has had a busy week, as it was on the same day when NOVOMATIC was awarded a license too.
The company is already prevalent in Europe and has around 2,000 gambling facilities and operates in roughly 50 countries.
“As a leading global player in the gaming industry, NOVOMATIC is excited to bring its cutting-edge product portfolio to this dynamic and rapidly growing market,” stated Thomas Schmalzer, VP Global Sales and Product Management of NOVOMATIC AG in a press release.
“Our latest gaming solutions are designed to deliver exceptional performance to land-based gaming facilities across the United Arab Emirates, ensuring that international players can enjoy their preferred games with the same high standards and quality they expect from other jurisdictions worldwide.”
