Intel held a press event at Mobile World Congress 2011 where they outlined their roadmap for their upcoming processors, but also Dough Fisher (corporate vice president and general manager of the Software and Services Group’s (SSG) Systems Software Division) spoke about MeeGo and the importance held by Intel on this upcoming platform.
The key conceptual difference he felt between MeeGo and other OS’s is that the latter focused on applications and not the individual. This can be shown on the User Interface of the MeeGo Tablet. Panes placed on the homescreen would bring forward user content to the fingertips of the user. All their music, video, social networking are now within easy reach.
