The Samsung Gear 2 Smartwatch runs Tizen and in the following demos we can see how it connects to an Intel Edison development board, which is running Linux that is built using the Yocto Project. The Intel Edison board has quite a powerful 32-bit quark CPU which makes it ideal for low power IoT Implementations.

Wearable and IoT demo. Edison with a breakout & battery shield which makes it a powerful mobile option.
The accelerometer sensors are used again, but this time to control a robot
