If you’re worried the Nokia N9 won’t get enough apps, you’ll be glad to know that there will be plenty of games coming. Unity Technologies announced on Wednesday that they will bring Unity-authored titles to the Nokia N9. I’ve included a highlight reel of their games, so can see what you might be able to play on that beautiful Nokia N9.
The N9 is an awesome entry into a very competitive market and we’re looking forward to providing Nokia with some of the best titles that Unity developers have created,” said Unity Technologies CEO David Helgason in the press release.
Unity Technologies has more than 650,000 registered users worldwide — including Bigpoint, Cartoon Network, Coca-Cola, Disney, Electronic Arts, LEGO, Microsoft, NASA, Nickelodeon, Ubisoft, Warner Bros., large and small studios, indies, students and hobbyists — all using Unity to create games and interactive 3D. They are headquartered in San Francisco and has development offices worldwide.
There’s no word on when we’ll expect to see these games at the Nokia Store. Let’s hope it’s not another announcement that does not come to life. Hint, hint, FX Studio.
