In April 2017, Twitter showed us their data friendly platform that they called Twitter Lite. For some time, it could only act as an app through Google Chrome. But, in December of the same year, Twitter Lite was launched as an actual and separate app on Google Play in 24 different markets. Today Twitter Lite is hitting more markets that the company had announced in a blog post.
Twitter Lite allows you to see the images that you want to see instead of posts that seem irrelevant to you. You are able to save tweets and threads. You can get push notifications and there’s a night mode (although it isn’t that popular to the people that use Twitter Lite) The app is only 3MB in size and downloadable from the Google Play Store.
The countries that now have Twitter Lite include Argentina, Belarus, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Romania, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.
Now the people in the newly added countries can see the content they want to see instead of things that are unimportant to them in their lives. If you have any suggestions for the site, contact us at [email protected].
