TuxCon is a two-day event that is dedicated to free and open source software (FOSS) for mobile,
embedded and wearable devices. The conference itself is taking place this weekend Saturday 28 June at hall Kirov of International Fair Plovdiv Bulgaria. Also on Sunday, 29 June, there will be a hackathon at Olimex’s headquarters utilising open source hardware devices. If your the social type and would like to get into the conference mood, then on Friday 27 June there is the chance for a quick beer meet-up.
Entry for TuxCon 2014 is FREE and all you have to do is register for the event. The schedule of the conference includes ten presentation in Bulgarian and two presentation in English. The topics are related to Linux, Android, Tizen and FirefoxOS. During TuxCon 2014 on stage we will see some of the leading IT experts from Bulgaria as well as from Greece and Turkey. TuxCon will offer not only free entrance to its visitors but also a lot of other surprises thanks to the sponsors Olimex, pCloud, Brosix as well as the Linux Foundation.
