The Tizen Store is gradually growing and app developers have been putting increased effort to include more apps in the store. The strength of any operating system is greatly dependent on the number of apps it has and Tizen has put some incentive measures in place to encourage developers to build more apps for the Tizen Store. One such incentive programs is the Tizen Mobile App Incentive Program in which the top 100 Apps for each month, while the program lasts, will take home $10,000 each. This means that a whopping $1million is dished out to developers on this platform each month. Right now, the winners for October 2017 have just been announced and this marks the end of the program. This program was announced late last year and it commenced in February this year and as such, it has given out a grand total of $9million within 9 months.

From our observations, the list throughout the 9 month period was dominated by gaming apps but some good mobile banking and social apps made an entry. The likes of Whatsapp, SHAREit, and Facebook held down a consistent place in the top 5 for many months while games like Danger Dash and Subway Hamster Run were pretty consistent too.
