Samsung have released several Tizen-based smartphones over the last few years, the Samsung Z1, Z2 and Z3, promising more to come during 2017, and it looks like they are getting ready to keep that promise.
Today, according to a recent report the company have started development of their next Tizen smartphone, Internally code named ‘Pride’ and carrying a model number SM-Z250F. This will be a 4G mobile that is aimed at emerging markets and in particular the countries that saw the release of the Samsung Z2 – India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Kenya, Indonesia and possibly others.
Apparently, the new device will have a major focus on voice control with Samsung’s new Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant Bixby onboard. This would make sense as the Korean tech giant could implement this new technology however they wanted unhampered by the wishes of Google, unlike their situation in the Android world.
It has also been stated that this is the first smartphone to run Tizen 3.0, but some actually expected the Samsung Z3 to launch with it at the end of 2015 and we stated it wouldn’t, and of course it didn’t. We haven’t had direct confirmation about this model number and its specifications as of yet, but we hope to provide you further details as soon as we get them.
