The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Golden Egg – Uses and how to get

There are a bunch of items you will acquire on your way through The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, with some having bigger benefits than others.

The Golden Egg, as you would expect, is one of the better pick ups and here, we’ll reveal why this is.

We’ll also touch on how to get them so you can really stock up and utilize as soon as possible.

What are Golden Eggs used for in Echoes of Wisdom?

Golden Eggs are quite an important item in the game as they are key to providing you with more Hearts.

You can instantly consume a Golden Egg and receive an instant two Hearts but you should save them and instead, use them in Smoothies.

This is because Golden Eggs actually boost Smoothie recipes dramatically, making ‘Golden’ Smoothies that restore 20 Hearts, among other effects, depending on ingredients.

You could sell the Eggs to merchants for 150 Rupees, but we think they’re more valuable in a Smoothie.

How to get Golden Eggs in Echoes of Wisdom

If you like the sound of adding some Golden Eggs to your Smoothies in Echoes of Wisdom, how do you get them?

There are three different ways you can secure Golden Eggs so while they are a rare find, there are multiple avenues to go down.

The first way you can get Golden Eggs is via treasure chests. For example, in Gerudo Sanctum, there is a treasure chest that can be opened which contains a Golden Egg. This is shared throughout other dungeons so ensure you’re exploring.

A second method for getting Golden Eggs is via scanning Amiibos. Similar to that of Monster Stones, a Golden Egg can drop as a reward but it is rare so just keep that in mind.

And finally, a guaranteed Golden Egg can be obtained via the One Soldier Too Many side quest which is started via talking to the Hyrule Castle Town gate guard. This is a pretty short quest so you might as well get it done and net yourself an easy Golden Egg.
