Recently, the Samsung Galaxy Fit and Fit e have been launched in India. The Galaxy Fit sales started two days ago but the Fit e, for some unknown reason will start selling there the start of next month (1st July.) The Galaxy Fit is priced at Rs. 9990 in India whereas the Galaxy Fit e is priced at Rs. 2590. Both of these smartwatches were announced in February with the Galaxy S10 at the Samsung Unpacked event.
As you can probably tell, there is quite a bit of a gap between the two prices. This is because the Fit e has less features/downgraded features than the Galaxy Fit.
To start off, the Galaxy Fit has a bigger battery than the Fit e, it has an 120mAh battery whereas the Fit e has a 70mAh battery. Another feature that is different between the two is that the screens are different. The Galaxy Fit has a full coloured 0.95″ AMOLED screen whereas the Fit e has a monochrome 0.74” PMOLED screen.

The Sensors on the two Watches
In terms of sensors, the Galaxy Fit has an extra one compared to the Galaxy Fit e. They both have a heart rate monitor and an accelerometer but the Galaxy Fit also has a gyroscope. The Galaxy Fit can support notifications, messages and voice calls (like the Fit e) but the Fit e cannot respond to them like the Galaxy Fit can.
The Health Features
The health features of the Galaxy Fit include activity tracking, sleep monitoring (auto or manual) and stress tracking. The Galaxy Fit e has all the same features but also has auto workout detection. Both fitness watches have a 5ATM water resistance. This means they can survive about 50 meters deep in water for 10 minutes.
Hopefully, for anyone who hasn’t gotten one of these watches yet, you’ll be able to decide if you want one and which one you’d want to get. Personally, I’d prefer the Galaxy watch Active.
