Samsung Z2 gets a little software update

The Tizen based Samsung Z2 got a little software/firmware update last week. When I say little, I think I’m not exaggerating, as it only measures 7.9MB, but I think it’s important to cover all Tizen smartphone software news until there is no Tizen smartphone software news.

Now, the Z2 is still on Tizen version 2.4.0.7 but software version is ZZOOFDDUOBQU. Below is the contents of the changelog:

  • Jio Apps have been installed – Exclusively for Jio SIM Users
  • HDFC Bank App
  • Overall device performance has been improved
  • The security of your device has been improved
  • Other performance improvements

Manual Check

If you do not get automatically prompted to update your firmware, you can manually check by using the steps below:

  • Select Settings
  • Select About Device
  • Select Software Update
  • Select Check for updates

Have you updated your software? Let us know what improvements you have noticed and please follow Team Tizen for all the Tizen news ?
Thanks to Joydeb for spotting this.
