We saw the Gear Sport launching in August 2017 and the Galaxy Watch in August 2018, and we expect the next wearable device, the Galaxy Watch 2, to launch in August 2019. Samsung did previously have the Gear wearable branding for their Gear S, Gear S2, and Gear S3 wearables, but switched to Galaxy. This name switch brings it in-line with their larger mobile branding for wearables.
