Samsung Electronics are spotted to have imported 1,200 Samsung Z3 (SM-Z300H) devices, dated on the 15th July, destined for a Partnering Event. This correlates to be the right amount as a giveaway to developers at the upcoming Tizen Developer Summit 2015, being held in Bengaluru, India. Previously Samsung have imported 1,400 Z3 empty boxes also for a Partnering event.
The Samsung Z3 is the second Tizen based smartphone that will be released in India, the Z1 being the first, and will have better specifications. The newer more powerful beast will be a 4G LTE device with a 1.2 Ghz Quad-Core Qualcomm 64-Bit processor, 8Gb Internal Storage, 5 MP main shooter and 2MP front facing camera.
Previous developer giveaways have included the RD-210 and the RD-PQ devices, but these have had disabled modems and did not fit well with all developers. A real Tizen smartphone developer giveaway is something the community can rally around and will help ignite the Tizen app ecosystem.
