Today, Samsung Z3 (model SM-Z300H) has received a Maintenance Release firmware update, taking it to version Z300HDDU0BPC5 for users in India. This update is fairly small at only 25.4MB, and the update details list it as a security policy update. This update also removes the MixRadio app that has discontinued its service from 21 March.
The MixRadio app was launched for Samsung Z3 users in india and gave them access to over 30 million songs, FREE, for life. The music was from various languages and you were given the ability to also play offline, and that is also for FREE.
Manual Check
If you do not get automatically prompted to update your firmware, you can manually check by using the steps below:
- Select Settings
- Select About Device
- Select Software Update
- Select Check for updates
Kies Update
The following is the procedure to use to update the firmware using the Kies desktop application:
- Launch the Kies App on your Desktop
- Plug your Smartphone into the Desktop
- You should get an option to update your software
- Manually check by selecting Tools -> Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation
