The Samsung Z3 4G version, model number SM-Z300F/DS, today received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The Smartphone will use Bluetooth version 4.1 with its low energy saving features. The non-4G version of the Samsung Z3, model number SM-Z300H/DS has already been certified with Bluetooth 4.0, which is a slightly lower BT specification than the 4G version.
We expect to see both Z3 devices to use different System on Chip (SoC) chipsets. For the Samsung Z3 we could be looking at the Spreadtrum SoC SC7730S and Z3 Samsung 4G could use the Samsung Exynos 3475 SoC as it has a LTE modem. The Samsung SM-Z300F / DS has also previously received certification from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), so we expect a launch for the device pretty soon.
