Samsung to host Health and Wearables Tech Event in San Francisco

Samsung have recently sent an email to specific people about an exclusive wearables event. In this event, you’ll learn what’s new with Samsung in the Health and Wearables Space. You can also be the first to get your hands on the Galaxy Watch Active 2 that was launched not too long ago at Samsung UNPACKED. Generally, Samsung are targeting this event at anyone who’s interested in health and wearables. The two organisations San Francisco Women in Tech and Samsung Electronics America are working together to create this event.

When and Where?

The Samsung Women in Tech event is taking place on the 22nd August in San Francisco. It’s at the Microsoft Reactor located at 680 Folsom Street, San Francisco. The doors will open at 5.30pm but the actual events start at 6.30pm and will shut at 9.00pm. All people attending will be able to get food, beverages and networking.

At the event, like I said above, you will be able to get your hands on the Galaxy Watch Active 2. As well as that, there will be a panel of experts in the trending topics of health and wearables area. You will be able to network with Samsung teams such as Samsung management, product managers, business development teams and the Samsung Development Program.

As well as meeting Samsung teams, you can also meet the Samsung Talent Team to potentially learn about career opportunities at Samsung. Something that many people may like is the fact that you can win a free SDC 2019 pass! You can also “Win awesome prizes!” Samsung hasn’t specified what these prizes are at the moment.

Health and Wearables Tech Event

Samsung says that the event will start with a panel session at 6.30pm. That will be followed by wearables presentations, technical insights, product demonstrations and discussion on business opportunities with Samsung in the wearables area.

People attending could also enter a raffle to have a chance to win the newly launched Galaxy Watch Active 2 and SDC 2019 passes. You will also be able to get “Samsung swag!”

Who’s Going to be There?

Natalie Schneider, is the VP of Digital Health at Samsung Electronics America. They are responsible for shaping Samsung’s digital health business in the US. Jeffrey Cooper who is a Senior Business Developer at Samsung. Cooper has worked for over 20 years in the mobile space. Nicole Dahlstrom is the founder of a company called FemTech Collective. She also has a group on Meetup.com where the description says “This is a group for female professionals who are utilizing technology to disrupt the current status quo of the feminine health industry”. Jennifer Tye is the COO of Glow Inc. Glow Inc. is an enterprise that uniquely applies the power of data science to health. That’s some of the people attending.
