Samsung Electronics is one of the major players in fitness wearable industry and its Gulf arm just introduced three new fitness devices to its industry-leading wearable portfolio. The devices – Gear Sport, Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear IconX were introduced at the opening ceremony of its Galaxy Studio in Dubai Mall which took place a few days back. The three new Samsung Fitness Wearables will be available at all major retailers in the UAE from 26 October 2017 onwards. For about a month (October 23rd – November 21st), Samsung will have an interactive section with customers where it will display its ecosystem of products and their capabilities. This will give customers the opportunity to get first-hand information directly from the company.

Gear Sport
The Samsung Gear Sport is very light wearable which weighs only 50 grams. It has a minimalistic circular bezel, unique body design with a Super AMOLED 1.2-inch screen (360 x 360 resolution display resolution). This wearable supports LTE Cat 4 150Mb/s for network connectivity and packs a 1GHz Dual-core processor coupled with a Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. The processor is supported by a 768MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM and this wearable supports Samsung’s new voice assistant, Bixby thus operability of this product will be seamless. Designed with military-level durability, it can handle a wide-range of environments. It is powered by a 200mAh battery which gives a 3-4 days talk time and a 5 days standby time. It comes with 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2GB and runs Tizen 2.3 OS. This wearable has a 5-ATM water resistant body which gives it the ability to track water-related activities such as swimming (both surface and underwater) up to 150 feet. The product comes with GPS and WiFi 802.11 b / g / n 2.4GHz, heart rate sensor, gyroscope, barometer, and accelerometer.
