We are super excited (American term) for the launch of the Samsung Z2. This upcoming Tizen tech has had lots of information pointing to its release such as Wifi and Bluetooth certification as well as news that Samsung has already begun assembly of the device. The Z2 is also slated to be distributed in 8 countries that include: India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya.
Today, there is a report, that has been picked up by many websites, stating that the Z2 will be released in India on 11 August. At this time we think this information may not be correct as the report also states that the Z2 will be launch with Tizen 3.0 Operating System (OS), which simply is not the case as this version of the OS is not ready to be productised in a smartphone.
There is also further news that a Jio 4G preview offer for 90-days will also be bundled in at point of sale. This offer entitles users to Unlimited Downloads, Unlimited HD Voice, Unlimited Texting and Unlimited Access to Jio Apps Suite which includes Jio Play, Jio Music, Jio Drive, Jio Money and other Jio apps.
Apparently the Z2 will be launched at an event alongside the Galaxy Note7 and Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro in India and will be priced at Rs 4,499. We will bring you more news on this story as we get it.
