Samsung Electronics showcased their digital signage and visual display solutions portfolio at the InfoComm 2016 trade show, which was held last month at the Las Vegas Convention Center. InfoComm is the largest annual global conference for the professional AV industry and is expected to welcome more than 40,000 attendees from nearly 110 countries.
A unique feature of these signages is that they are powered by the Tizen Operating System (OS). By utilising the OS the signs are able to be used for advertising, content delivery, and information display management in corporate, hospitality, public, retail and at-home environments.
“As the world’s leading total digital signage solutions provider, we strive to discover new avenues that help our partners deliver captivating content and a differentiated experience at every stage of the customer journey,” said Seog-gi Kim, Senior Vice President, Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.
Samsung will release its new P Series digital signage solutions that features Samsung’s SMART Signage Platform 4.0 (SSSP 4.0) that is powered by Tizen. By using our favourite linux OS customers can benefit from improved graphical performance, faster response times and loading speeds, and an optional PC-less all-in-one screen. They will also offer HTML5 support for launching web-based apps.
These displays will also feature Samsung’s MagicInfo Server 4.0 program that allows management of the entire display network from any location, easier content programming, drag-and-drop content scheduling, Backup Player, and DataLink content streaming.
