According to an online publication, Samsung’s mobile payment solution Samsung Pay will launch in Sweden later this year. This news comes courtesy of Va Finans, a leading finance portal for active investors.
At the moment there is no news on the exact launch date, but we will hopefully hear more during a press conference that is scheduled to be held in Sweden on Thursday, March 9.
This is the thirteenth country that we will see Samsung Pay making its appearance in since it began its gradual rollout. We have seen it initially launched in South Korea and the United States a little over two years ago. Samsung Pay has recently launched in India, Thailand and Malaysia, and it is hoped to launch in many more before the end of 2017.
