Samsung Electronics have finally launched its flagship line of QLED Televisions in India. The Tizen-based QLED Smart TVs were first announced at CES 2017, Las Vegas back in January and have been already launched in some of their major markets. Today in India Samsung have brought in the Q9, Q8 and Q7 series of the QLED TVs with each of the series having TVs of screen sizes 55 inches (138cm), 65 inches (163 cm), 75 inches (189 cm) and 88 inches (223 cm). Samsung also mentioned that pre-booking made for the QA55Q7FAMKLXL, QA55Q8CAMKLXL, QA65Q7FAMKLXL and QA65Q8CAMKLX Televisions will entitle users for a free Galaxy S8+ smartphone (gold coloured) between the period of May 2 to May 21, 2017, when they fill the necessary details on the pre-registration form over here and follow all the instructions mentioned on the site.
The QLED TVs have an ergonomic design with a near bezel-less display and an extremely thin premium metallic body. The TV comes with a single cable assembly to avoid cable clusters for better cable management, Samsung also mentioned that the TVs come with a ‘No Gap Wall-mount’ and also include an optional studio stand. The QLED TV panels come with 4K (3,840 × 2,160 pixels) UHD resolution and supports HDR 2000, which results in clear detailed visuals. Combining that with The metal alloy quantum dots in QLED TV panel elevates the TV viewing experience to new levels with richer and accurate colours (Samsung calls it as 100 percent colour volume), deep blacks and a high contrast range.
Another innovative aspect of the QLED TVs comes in the form of the “One Remote”. This is an upgraded, smart remote control which can control most of the devices connected to the TV. The remote also has support for an improved voice control feature which can now be used to control most of the features within the TV and installed applications. Users can also cast content from their smartphone to the TVs using the Smart View App.
