Baselworld, the world’s largest annual watch-and-jewelry trade show is currently taking place from March 23 to 30th in Switzerland. This is the place for watch manufacturers to showcase their latest collections and also for enthusiasts to savour all they have to offer.
Samsung will be attending the event this year and will be showing off their Tizen-based Gear smartwatch portfolio. There will be new custom watch straps, additional color variations and also innovative concept designs to show off. The S3 will represent premium design elements that are combined with smart technology. Joining Samsung at their booth will be renowned watch designer, Yvan Arpa, who will display three concept watches based on the Gear S3.
Whilst Samsung is at Baselworld, the company will begin a rollout out of another Value Pack Update for Gear S2 and Gear S3 smartwatch customers. The update promises to bring more partner content to the device whilst improving on key features such as the Alti/Barometer, Reminder capabilities, and for fitness people S Health. Baselword 2017 comprises about 2,100 exhibitors from over 45 countries, including the leading watch and jewellery brands, attracting over 94,000 visitors.
