Samsung Electronics has a couple of wearables in its shelves and it appears that the South Korean giant is trying to push more wearable units abroad. Just recently, the Gear Sport, Gear Fit2 Pro, and Gear IconX were introduced to UAE and now, Samsung Gear Sport and the 2018 version of the Samsung Gear Icon X smart earbuds will be in Dutch stores, according to Samsung, by the end of this week. These wearables have different features and work in different capacities as discussed below:-
Gear Sport
The Samsung Gear Sport is very light wearable which weighs only 50 grams. It has a minimalistic circular bezel, unique body design with a Super AMOLED 1.2-inch screen (360 x 360 resolution display resolution). This wearable supports LTE Cat 4 150Mb/s for network connectivity and packs a 1GHz Dual-core processor coupled with a Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. The processor is supported by a 768MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM and this wearable supports Samsung’s new voice assistant, Bixby thus operability of this product will be seamless. Designed with military-level durability, it can handle a wide-range of environments. Also, Samsung Gear Sport can also be used to control Samsung IoT-enabled devices through Samsung Connect, it can also be used as a remote control for Samsung Gear VR headset. This smartwatch is completely water resistant, well, to a depth of 50m, which means that it can be used for swimming and other aquatic activities. It’s S Health app compatibility ensures that health parameters can be tracked using this wearable. The Gear Sport will cost EUR 350.
Gear IconX
The Samsung Gear Icon X 2018 is a set of Bluetooth earphones that can be charged via their storage box. They also come with integrated fitness tracking sensors. Through the ear, the buds can measure the heart rate by tracking blood vessel noise. The Gear IconX cord-free earbuds let you seamlessly listen to your favorite music. This device will make your daily commute more enjoyable and it will help you to get more from your workout. On the Gear IconX, music can be enjoyed on and offline by transferring songs from a Samsung smartphone or PC or accessing your favorite tunes through Bluetooth connectivity.
