The Tizen platform is slowly expanding and as of now, it runs four smartphones (Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4) as well as numerous wearables and Samsung TV’s. The Samsung Gear Sport is very portable as it weighs only 50 grams which is more of a fitness tracker weight than a smartwatch weight. Gear Sport has a unique body design and it comes with a round Super AMOLED 1.2-inch screen with 360 x 360 resolution display resolution. It has the LTE Cat 4 150Mb/s for network connectivity and packs a 1GHz Dual-core processor coupled with a Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. The processor is supported by a 768MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM and this wearable supports Samsung’s new voice assistant, Bixby thus operability of this product will be seamless.
The Gear Sport can also be used to control Samsung IoT-enabled devices through Samsung Connect and use your Gear Sport as a remote control for even Samsung’s Gear VR headset. This smartwatch is completely water resistant, well, to a depth of 50m, which means that it can be used for swimming and other aquatic activities. It’s S Health app compatibility ensures that health parameters can be tracked using this wearable.
