Samsung is currently pushing out its highly-rated wearables and recently, we reported that one or more of Samsung’s wearables are available in Russia, Netherlands, and UAE. Now, Samsung’s Gear Sport and Gear Icon X wearables are now available in Canada. Gear Sport, Samsung’s newest wearable is available on the Korean giant official website and via Best Buy although Best Buy says the product will be available on October 27th. The smartwatch will come in both blue and black and cost $399.99 CAD while the 2017 variant of the Icon X wireless earbuds come in black, grey and pink and costs $299.99.
Well, the applicability and features of Samsung’s Gear Sport and Gear IconX varies to some extent. We have repeatedly published a run-down of the abilities of these wearables but if you have not seen it, the excerpts below are for you.
Gear Sport
The Samsung Gear Sport is very light wearable which weighs only 50 grams. This smartwatch features 5 ATM which means that it is completely water resistant, well, to a depth of 50m (superior to IP68), thus it can be used for swimming and other aquatic activities. It’s S Health app compatibility ensures that health parameters can be tracked using this wearable. Additionally, the Sport includes a heart rate monitor and is able to detect activity and in-depth sleep. It also includes Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS and a 300mAh battery.
Gear IconX
The Samsung Gear Icon X 2018 is a set of Bluetooth earphones that can be charged via their storage box. They also come with integrated fitness tracking sensors. Through the ear, the buds can measure the heart rate by tracking blood vessel noise. Each Gear Icon X has 4GB of internal storage, allowing for music to actually be stored on the device and can connect to Samsung’s Bixby artificial intelligence (AI).
