Samsung Gear S2 Value Pack 2 Update Hits the UK, version EPK5

Today, the Samsung Gear S2 Value Pack 2 update, which is currently being rolled out worldwide, is hitting S2 smartwatches in the UK. This is a major update for wearable device, bringing with it many of the new features found on the Gear S3 (full changelog further down), and is a 133.42MB download. Firmware version is R732XXU2EPK5 / R732OXA2EPK5.

Value Pack 2 brings you improvements to S Health, where it can detect different types of exercises such as Elliptical, Rowing Machine, and Dynamic workout. The User Experience Integrates more with the rotating bezel for setting alarms, timers, and accepting / rejecting calls.
 

Spotify App comes to the Samsung Gear S2

Post-update users are now also able to Install the Spotify app. Note, there are some features that are only available to premium users.
 

Samsung Gear S3 watch faces are available for Gear S2

There is also support for additional watchfaces that are available for the Gear S3, which you can now download from the Galaxy Apps Store. As part of S-Health, you can create a steps challenge between you and someone from your contacts lists – Now we have a couple of watchfaces Included that let you see the steps taken between you and said “challenger”.
