The Gear S2 is Samsung’s flagship smartwatch and enjoys some frequent software / firmware updates. Now we see that there are lots more users that are enjoying the latest update CPC5 (R732XXU2CPC5) being provided as an Over the Air update (OTA).
There does not appear to be a new changelog with this update, but it is thought to be the usual performance / bug-fix patch that we frequently see. There are some rumours that it also provides better iOS support, but we just don’t know at the moment.
The update is only 20.39MB in size.
Manually check
If you do not receive a notification for you to update the smartwatch, you can do it manually by following the steps outlined below:
- Launch the Gear Manager app
- Select Settings
- Scroll down and select About Gear
- Select Update Gear Software
- Select Update now
