Samsung took the wraps off the Gear Fit 2 Pro a couple of weeks back at IFA Berlin 2017. Samsung has been accepting pre-orders since the launch in the US and the UK, that I know of, and should start shipping the wearable in other locations very soon.
If you are looking the full ins and out about the new sleek sports and fitness wearable, something interesting has popped up online. Samsung has made the official user manual for the Gear Fit 2 Pro available for download online and we have got it for you here on Tizen Experts.
The manual sheds more light on the Tizen-powered fitness tracker which is priced at just $199. From the manual, we can gather that the fitness tracker will be coming with a charging dock which would be used to charge the battery. Also, the rubber straps will be removable and the manual gives a guide on how to replace the strap and really, that wouldn’t be too difficult to do.
The user manual also contains a guide of how to set up the device as well as give a run down of the various features that would be available on the smart wearable and how users can access them. The Gear Fit2 Pro has some substantial changes in its software to make it a much better fitness tracker. Some of the health and fitness related features include- real-time heart rate monitoring, auto activity detection, and premium partnerships with Under Armour and Spotify as well as MapMyRun and Endomondo.
Another major feature that comes with the Gear Fit2 Pro, thanks to its 5ATM water resistant body, is the ability to track water related activities such as Swimming (both surface and underwater). The S-Health app is instantly triggered to track swimming, the Speedo app can do this as well but you will miss out on the real-time heart rate monitoring.
