Some good news for our fitness readers that are looking for a new “fit” device. The Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Buds are two devices that have recently received their Bluetooth certification. This is one step closer along the road to official release. We are hoping to see them in real life pretty soon.
Galaxy Fit is the next fitness tracker from Samsung that is taking over from the Gear Fit2 Pro. According to the Bluetooth submission, It will be available in two variants with model numbers SM-R370 and SM-R375. At the moment it is only the SM-R375 model number to get certification. We assume the other model will also get its certification in the coming weeks. It has to be noted that this is also one of the first fitness devices to get support for Bluetooth 5.0. You will be able to purchase both Galaxy Fit variants in black, silver, white and yellow colors.
The other wearable device is the new Galaxy Buds, which are the successor to the Gear IconX earbuds that were released last year. The model number is SM-R170. It will be available in black, white, and yellow and will come with 8GB of internal storage space. This device also supports Bluetooth 5.0.
There is no official word if these two devices will actually be launched at Samsung Unpacked, but at the moment it looks pretty likely that they will.
