Those who have been waiting to get their hands on the first ever Tizen 3.0 based wearable- the Gear Sport can finally rejoice as Samsung has just announced that it is putting up the pre-orders for the Gear Sport and the Gear IconX 2018 live in the US starting tomorrow, October 13 on Samsung.com and BestBuy.com, Samsung will then ramp up distribution of the two wearables with more retailers such as Amazon, Macy’s and US Cellular. The Gear Sport will cost about $299.99 while the Gear IconX 2018 will be going for $199.99.
The Gear Sport brings a refreshed design to the Gear S smartwatch series after the Gear S2 and Gear S3 with a more sleek and smaller build. The smartwatch is also more suited for the fitness and sports enthusiasts especially the ones who are into water sports as the Gear Sport has an ATM5 water resistance certification. It also has a MIL-STD-810G grading to reflect on its rigid build quality. On the inside, the Gear Sport is powerful smartwatch like we mentioned earlier running on Tizen 3.0 and features a number of sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope,magnetometer,barometer,HR sensor and GPS. On the connectivity side, it supports WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC which makes it a Samsung Pay enabled device as well. The Gear Sport works with both Android and iOS devices.

The Gear IconX 2018 are an upgrade to the previous years Gear IconX with more battery life which was one of the major cons of the predecessor. It also has Bixby support so users can control music playback and even other smartphone features with just their voice. The Gear IconX 2018 also has built in storage to let you store music and have a standalone music experience. It also is fitness monitor as it can track both steps and Heart Rate of the user. The Gear IconX works only with Android devices for now.
