Red Hat Inc. and Samsung Electronics America Inc. have announced a strategic alliance to deliver the next generation of mobile solutions for the enterprise. The companies hope the combination of Red Hat’s open source middleware, mobile and cloud technologies combined with Samsung’s mobile device portfolio are able to deliver enterprise level mobile solutions.

The Alliance plans on delivering Business applications that will run on the Red Hat Mobile Application Platform on Android and other operating environments. There will also be a focus on a new developer ecosystem with tools and resources for enterprise partners and developers. The initial phase of the alliance will be focused in the U.S.
