Nokia N9 is expected to hit the market within the next few weeks. It has already created a lot of buzz in the tech world. Be it features, capabilities, design or operating system (OS), the Nokia N9 seems to be a marvelous piece of tech. Every passing day, we get to know something or other about the device. And this time too, we have something in relation with the device; the retail packaging box of Nokia N9.
Recently, MyNokiaBlog got an anonymous tip showing a very nice blue box. The box clearly mentions “Nokia N9” on its side along with a picture of the device at the top. This blue box is tipped as the Nokia N9 retail packaging box. So hopefully, we would start seeing this box on the Mobile Store shelves around the globe VERY soon.
The box has dimensions of 134x80x74 mm, which corresponds pretty well with the dimensions of the Nokia device. Earlier, reports have surfaced that the eco-friendly Nokia N9 will be packed in a minimalist box. With the phone having dimensions of 116.45×61.2×7.6-12.1 mm, Nokia seems to have stayed true to it, given that there’s hardly excess space on the two sides of the box. The space underneath the device will be occupied by the accessories.
Nokia N9
Nokia N9 is the first device from Nokia running on MeeGo OS. The device was announced back in June at the Nokia Connection event in Singapore. The Nokia N9 is powered by a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, supported by 1 GB of RAM. It comes in two variant of RAM size, 16 GB and 64 GB, making it the first smartphone to encompass 64 GB of storage. Nokia N9 features a 3.9″ capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 854×480 pixel. The AMOLED screen is covered by a curved scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla glass. The device houses a 1500 mAh Li-ion battery, which gives a standby time of up to 450 hours.
There has been wide speculation about the availability of the device, however there’s no official word on the markets where the device will be launched first. Amazon Germany has already listed the device on its site. A recent press release from the 3 Group (European Carrier) mentioned that the Nokia N9 will be released in Sweden on September 23. At the moment, all we can do is wait and see!
