Ocean Casino Resort announces major $50m investment

The Atlantic City Ocean Casino Resort is set to get a major boost as a $50 million investment is planned for 2025 which will see new suites, dining options, and casino expansion.

This figure is part of a seven-year $270 million property transformation that the company has been implementing since 2018.

In the investment set aside for this year, Ocean will introduce a ‘larger polished Asian gaming space’ by this summer with this costing $4 million.

The footprint of the current casino experience will double from 4,000 to 8,000 square feet and will feature 32 gaming tables including Mini Baccarat and Pai Gow Poker.

What is included in the Ocean Casino Resort investment for 2025?

A massive $25 million will go towards the guest rooms and suites which marks a culmination of a multi-year project to transform all 1,860 guest rooms and suites at the property.

This comes after Ocean unveiled 12 floors of renovated Blu Rooms and Suites that had been unfinished by the previous owner in 2022. In 2023 and 2024 a further 700 guest rooms and suites were introduced, along with the Duplex and Bay suites.

Another $5 million will go towards the opening of two new restaurants which have been created in partnership with restauranteur Stephen Starr. The multi-million dollar concepts will be housed on the resort’s lobby level and are scheduled to open this summer.

“Ocean continues to invest in property enhancements that enable us to provide an unmatched guest experience not only in Atlantic City, but nationwide,” said Bill Callahan, General Manager for Ocean Casino Resort in a press release.

“We are introducing five highly anticipated dining concepts that our customers have been asking for. This year also marks an exciting milestone as we complete the entire hotel with fully renovated guest rooms and suites.”

The mini golf and bar is also planned to open later this summer and it’ll feature technology used at The Sphere in Las Vegas. The course will be two stories, with an expansive 8,000-square-foot space.

When guests enter, they’ll be greeted by a 12-foot Great White Shark along with two holograms.
