Nokia N9 The Nokia N950 FCC documentation reveals that it uses the Texas Instruments wl1273 to provide Bluetooth and FM RX/TX capabilities. It is assumed that the N9 also uses this chip. However, the N950 documentation shows that the FM RX antenna header is connected via the headset port indicating that it requires the headset to be plugged in for FM reception to work, and unfortunately the FM TX header is completely unutilized. Is the situation confirmed to be similar on the N9? FM transmission is a cherry topping that many people would not turn down – and considering the hardware is there, deciding to not connect the FM TX headers seems strangely wasteful.
