Today is a sad day. The Following statement was confirmed to MeeGoExperts by Nokia UK:
“As an organisation Nokia takes a market by market approach to product rollout and each country decides which products to introduce from those available. These decisions are based on a local assessment of existing and upcoming products that make up Nokia’s product portfolio and are intended to provide the best local portfolio for the UK market. Although we are delighted with the very positive reception that the Nokia N9 has received, here in the UK there are no plans to offer the Nokia N9 at present.”
The above statement, as many have speculated over the last few months this decision is probably due to Nokia not wanting to distribute the Nokia N9 in which it wants to heavily promote its Windows Phone devices. After all, who would blame them.
We can still see that the Nokia N9 is still being available on pre-order by Expansys, Mobile Fun , SupereTrader and others. I have contacted these companies to confirm their future plans for the N9. Hopefully they will be able to keep on track.
