Next Level Racing launches kid-friendly sim racing cockpit

If you have ever had your kid begging for a go on your sim racing setup you will feel the pain of knowing how difficult a request it is to accommodate them. For starters, your gear is probably set up specifically the way you like it and even tweaking a few millimeters is a pain.

If you have any kind of racing stand or cockpit you will be very much aware that chances are the pedals will be too far away for little legs to reach and the wheel will be in a position that’s awkward, leading to that family gaming experience that isn’t as friendly as you thought it might be when you used the idea to justify your expensive wheel setup to your wife. Just saying that’s what could happen. To a friend.

Problem solved. Next Level Racing, who are trying really hard to bring sim racing to a larger audience via a recent selection of top-quality releases aimed at taking your sim racing to the er, next level have just released the GTLIte Junior – a mini sim racing cockpit for kids.

Aimed at younger racers aged between 5-12, the GTLite is a “lightweight and foldable solution, perfect for compact spaces and easy storage. Whether for leisure or early training, this cockpit provides an immersive, comfortable, and ergonomic racing experience.”

The use of the word “training” throws up an interesting line of thought too with the world of eSports now more lucrative than ever you could get one of these and set your child to work becoming the next big virtual Verstappen while you go to the pub.

The GTLite Junior features adjustable components, including the backrest, steering wheel, and pedal plate, ensuring a perfect fit for growing racers. It also has compatibility across a wide range of entry-level sim racing wheels and pedals.

This means if you get it early enough in your child’s life it can be adjusted to grow with them, which is pretty cool, before they eventually graduate onto the bigger gear.

Priced at just £149 from Next Level Racing’s site the GTLite Junior is available now.
