Earlier this month, the Fitbit Versa 2 was leaked. Now, that the Fitbit Versa 2 has been offically launched, and therefore, we can talk about the specifications of the watch with more detail.

After the Fitbit Versa 2 has been launched, we have learned about Fitbit Premium. Fitbit Premium offers deeper health insights and more guided workouts. The service will be priced at $9.99 a month when in launched in September.

Much like the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2: Under Armour Edition where you get six months free of MapMyRun, the Fitbit Versa 2 will have a special edition. With this special edition of the smartwatch, you get three months free of Fitbit Premium. The special edition will also come with a high-end band.

New Sleep Features

There also new features for sleeping. There is now “Sleep Score”. As the name suggests, it monitors your sleep and tags a score onto it. This score is based on the quality of your sleep. The factors that’ll affect your Sleep Score are how long you’ve slept, how long you’ve been in REM, light and deep sleep and you heart rate throughout your sleep.

There is also a new smart wake alarm. The smartwatch will learn to wake you up at the best time during your sleep. Fitbit has said that this feature is going to come to all Fitbit devices. Users of the Fitbit Versa 2 will also be able to see their estimated oxygen variation. This in turn will give you informations about how you’re breathing during your sleep.

Alexa Integration

The Fitbit Versa 2, as you may know, has Alexa integrated into the smartwatch. This, I think, is a good feature. But there may be a tiny problem people may not like. The smartwatch has no speakers meaning Alexa can only provide you on-screen answers. As well as Alexa, the Fitbit Versa 2 gives you access to Spotify Premium.

The Fitbit Versa 2 has a 3-axis accelerometer, an optical heart rate monitor, an altimeter, an ambient light sensor, a SpO2 sensor. The Fitbit Versa 2 is also water resistant up to 50 meters in water.

Battery

The battery life on the Fitbit Versa 2 is said to be better than the Fitbit Versa as it lasts a day longer than its predecessor. Five days instead of four days on a single charge. However, if you have the always-on display feature activated, your battery will drain a lot faster – it will last about two days. To charge the smartwatch from 0% – 100%, it will take about two hours.

The Fitbit Versa 2 comes with NFC support for Fit Pay. The smartwatch also supports Bluetooth 4.0 so you’ll be able to pair your smartwatch to your Bluetooth headphones and listen to Spotify all day long.

Pre-Order

On the Fitbit website, you are able to pre-order the smartwatch now and the shipping for the smartwatch will start in 3-4 weeks.
