When the PlayStation Network melted over the weekend one of the big issues it caused, not just for players, but also Capcom, was that nobody on PlayStation 5 got to beta test Monster Hunter Wilds Beta 2. Capcom obviously needs the data from the beta test and players who had access to the trial run were clearly annoyed about having the chance to play whipped away from them by Sony’s “operational issues”.
Capcom has now stepped up to the mark with a time extension (if you know, you know) for the Monster Hunter Wilds beta which will not only give PS5 gamers the chance to see what they missed out on but will also allow PC players extra time in the game as an added bonus.
So let’s see what difference Capcom’s announcement makes to the beta 2 run time and when it will now run until.
Hunters, we're pleased to confirm that due to the PlayStation Network outage that occurred during the first week of OBT2, we're extending the second week of OBT2 by +24 hours on all platforms!
New period:

When does the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta 2 now run until?
The new schedule affects the second run of the beta due to take place next weekend. The test run will still start on Thursday 14th February (sorry other half!) but will now carry on to Monday, February 17th, providing an extra day of play to make up for lost time, instead of ending on the Sunday as originally planned before last weekend’s shenanigans.
Monster Hunter Wilds itself is still slated for a release on the 28th of February, so the extra day actually shaves 24 hours off the time Capcom has to get everything ship-shape ready for launch. We aren’t anticipating any major issues from here on, but this is the last chance you have got to experience what’s ahead before the big launch day.
