Samsung are certainly busy getting all the pieces in place for their Samsung Pay mobile payment service, and that is definitely a good thing. Yesterday, there was an update to the Gear Manager app, or more specifically it looks like the Gear Manager Plugin. This update will allow the Gear S3 to work with non-Samsung devices.
In order for you to use the new functionality you need to make sure you are on the latest firmware and Install Samsung Gear Manager. After you launch Gear Manager you will see a Samsung Pay menu that can found under the setting tab.
You will now need to select Samsung Pay and then follow the step-by-step instructions that will prompt you to create an account, input your billing and credit/debit card information, and verify that it’s all correct.
There, you should be set to start making your mobile payments. Have you used this service? Let us know in the comments.
