How to respec in Black Myth: Wukong – Sparks redistribution explained

Since Black Myth: Wukong uses a leveling system akin to that of the Souls games, you’ll need to distribute your points accordingly to make the best build.

However, there is a respec functionality baked in, allowing you to change things up if you either make a mistake or want to refine your approach.

Here, we’ll take you through how to respec in Black Myth: Wukong so you can do just that.

How to respec in Black Myth: Wukong

Learning how to respec in Black Myth: Wukong is a pretty simple affair since you can do this at any Keeper’s Shrine in the game.

At a Keeper’s Shrine, hit the Reignite the Sparks option within the Self-Advance section and this will bring up your abilities and spells, allowing you to redistribute the talent points.

If you hold the F key/ Triangle/Y on this screen, you’ll be able to completely reset all of the points you have used, meaning you can start anew.

However, if you’d rather speed up the process slightly, picking and choosing those that you’d like to switch up, you can do so too.

Open the trees and find the talents that you’d like to change in there. Hit the R key/Square/X and you’ll be given the Sparks back, ready for redistribution.

You do have to reclaim from the latest upward though so if you’re deep into the Pillar Stance for example, you have to refund the later skills to make it all the way up to the base.

Regardless of which way you want to respec in Black Myth: Wukong, it is completely free of charge, something you don’t see very often in other games of this ilk, especially in the likes of the Souls games and Elden Ring.

This means you can really experiment with the plethora of different skills available, potentially making your playthrough that bit more interesting.
