GuestTek completes integration of Samsung’s Tizen powered hospitality televisions

GuestTek Interactive Entertainment Ltd. has announced that they have completed the integration of the Samsung’s Tizen platform into GuestTek’s North American product offerings. Headquartered in Calgary, Canada, Guestek is a global leader in broadband technology and interactive solutions for the hospitality industry. Guestek and Samsung have been partners for years, and they continue to provide hotels ever evolving state-of-the-art in-room entertainment solutions.
“We are proud to work with Samsung as we continue to grow our partnership.  GuestTek has deployed Samsung’s exceptional televisions in guest rooms across the globe, and we appreciate the opportunity to upgrade our offerings with Tizen powered hospitality TVs,” says Arnon Levy, GuestTek’s President and CEO.
Guestek started the deployment of Tizen H Browser powered hospitality TVs in mid-October, and the installs were a complete success. Michael McCarthy, leader of GuestTek’s Tizen integration team, seemed very impressed with Tizen platform. “This integration project ran very well and GuestTek’s development team is impressed with the performance of the platform,” he was quoted as saying.
GuestTek-LogoSamsung and GuestTek have been creating hospitality solutions that cover all elements of the hotel experience, from check-in to check-out, to  provide both guest and hotelier needs. And with integration of Samsung’s  Tizen 3.0, which allows full connectivity of all devices including hospitality TVs, displays, wearables, mobile and print, they are now set to create even better hospitality solutions for their cutomers. The Tizen 3.0 platform features a powerful graphics engine that produces rich and clear video content. This includes faster response, interactions and loading speeds that ensure uninterrupted playback.
With GuestTek’s fully licensed Google Chromecast solution, MyMedia, hotel guests can cast content from their devices onto the in-room television without needing to download any app. Casting of content from their devices is as simple as entering a code on their device. MyMedia is scalable for larger hotels, yet cost effective for small hotels.
