Samsung launched a total of three new wearables- The Gear Sport, Gear Fit2 Pro and the Gear Icon X(2018) a couple of weeks back at IFA 2017, Berlin. Out of the three, the Gear Sport happens to be the most interesting and impressive wearable device to us as it is currently the only wearable device to run on Tizen 3.0. Tizen 3.0 brings in a lot of new capabilities to the Gear S3 but at the same time, developing apps for a new version of OS and a new device comes with its own set of problems.
With all the effort that Samsung has been putting to bring more developers on to the Tizen platform, making the process to develop apps for Tizen easier comes as a top priority for the company. On that note, Samsung is hosting a live technical Webinar on September 21 called Go Beyond Fitness: Developing for Samsung Gear Sport. The Webinar will take you through all the new capabilities of the Gear Sport that you can take advantage of while developing your apps for the smartwatch.
The Webinar will be for a duration of 1hour which will also include a Q&A session at the end. The webinar will be taken by Gear Sport expert and Sr. Product Manager, David Ng, who will “provide an overview and demonstration of the new, cutting-edge features including award-winning rotating bezel UX, 5ATM durability, advanced fitness coaching, IoT Smart Home and design/accessory features.”
The webinar is free to attend, so make use of your time to learn about the latest in the Tizen wearable platform and get started with developing apps for the same.
