Ever since the release Gear Sport and Gear IconX, Samsung has been announcing their availability in one country after another. We’ve earlier reported about the availability of the wearables in Netherlands, Canada, Australia, UAE and a few other countries. Now further adding to the list, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has today announced their availability in Malaysia.

Gear Sport
The Gear Sport is a very light-weight device ideal for those looking for a stylish yet classical-looking smartwatch. Featuring a round face AMOLED display screen, it has a minimalistic circular bezel and two side-mounted buttons for navigating through the menu. This wearable supports LTE Cat 4 150Mb/s for network connectivity and packs a 1GHz Dual-core processor. The device houses a rechargeable 300mAh battery.
Feature-wise, this wearable supports Samsung’s S-Voice voice assistant, which we are hoping will be replaced with Bixby and can also be used to control Samsung IoT-enabled devices through Samsung Connect. Designed with military-level durability, it can handle a wide-range of environments. This smartwatch features 5 ATM which means that it is completely water resistant up to a depth of 50m. Thus you can go for swimming and other aquatic activities wearing this device worry-free. It’s S Health app compatibility ensures that health parameters can be tracked using this wearable. The Gear Sport is available in blue and black colours.
Gear IconX
The Gear IconX are cord-free earbuds with integrated fitness tracking sensors. Music can be enjoyed on and offline by transferring songs or accessing favourite tunes through Bluetooth connectivity. Thanks to the Bixby support, you can use your Gear IconX buds to control music, playlist and smartphone through voice command. For the fitness enthusiast, the Gear IconX can measure your heart rate and can automatically track your running routines. The buds also feature standalone Running Coach function to provide in-ear audio exercise without your phone. An improved long-lasting battery ensures that users always have access to the features they need and music they love. The Gear IconX is available in 3 colours – black, grey and pink.
In the digital age where technology and exercise collide, wearables have transformed society’s approach to fitness. Samsung has already made Gear Fit2 Pro available in Malaysia and now the addition of Gear Sport and Gear IconX provides a wider range of choices for fitness enthusiasts in the country.
The new Gear Sport and new Gear IconX will be available in Samsung Experience Stores from 1st December 2017. The Gear Sport has been priced at RM1,299 and the Gear IconX at RM799. The Gear Fit2 Pro retails at RM799 in Malaysia. With every purchase of Gear Sport from 1st to 31st December 2017, customers will receive two complimentary Gear straps worth RM198 and a Limited Edition Watch Collector Box worth RM299.
