This has been an exciting week for Samsung wearable users especially for the Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch users as Samsung finally rolled out the massive Value Pack Update, which essentially brings it to Tizen 3.0 and thus giving it a number of features which were available only on the Gear Sport till now. Talking about the Gear Sport, earlier last week, Samsung rolled out an update to the Gear Manager app on Samsung smartphones giving it support to the new Gear Sport and the Gear Fit2 Pro wearables now that both the wearables have hit most of Samsung’s market.
Apart from the support to these two Tizen wearables, the update also brings some new changes and improvements along with it. Some of the notable changes include the addition of the card which shows the Galaxy Apps banner. This is a neat addition to target users with relevant app suggestions or featured apps which go unnoticed unless you open the Galaxy Apps store all the time.
Other changelogs include the addition of News & tips card, an improved connection screen which was a bit slow previously and lastly the addition of new phrases for quick messages that is supported on devices such as the Gear S2, Gear S3 and the Gear Sport. The version number of this new update is 2.2.17082261 and is of 6.12MB in size. You should be getting a notification of the update by now. For non Samsung smartphone users with Samsung wearables, a similar update has been released for the Samsung Gear App on the play store.
