We have recently covered many news stories relating to the Gear Fit 2, but there was also the announcement of another Tizen based fitness wearable that we kinda overlooked, the Gear Icon X. At the time of the release it was not confirmed as a Tizen wearable device, which later our sources close to the situation confirmed, “Houston we have another Tizen device”.
The Gear IconX are ear buds that not only offer you the ability to listen to music, but also feature an Integrated standalone music player, coutesy of the 4GB on-board storage which is said to be good for upto 1,000 music tracks. That’s not the end of the story as it can can track fitness information and provide users with feedback on their running performance, and you don’t need to take your phone along for the run either.
You can get updates on your speed, distance, duration, heart rate and calories burnt via a dedicated voice guide. You don’t have to worry if english isn’t your native language as the voice guide is available in 15 different languages. You can further synchronise your ear buds with your Smartphone and keep one step ahead of your progress via the S-Health app.
This is a product to be used on the move and Interestingly also Includes a Stay Aware mode that allows you to turn o ambient sound mode to hear your surrounding, which is an ever important function whilst running on bust streets.
