Update: This Galaxy Watch update has been spotted in the Netherlands, Turkey, Belgium, Poland, Colombia, Germany, Portugal, Australia, Denmark, UAE, and Mexico.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch has received a software update version R800XXU1CSE1 – mainly in the Netherlands. We were waiting for the update to start rolling out in more markets before reporting on it, but it seems to have halted. The update has only been spotting for the Bluetooth and not LTE variant. Hopefully, this is just a temporary pause and it resumes its more general rollout soon. This latest update brings improved stability for Samsung Health.
The fitness market is still very important to Samsung. Last week we saw an update to the mobile Samsung Health App. Galaxy Fit users are now supported. We have also received the usual unspecified bug fixes and stability improvements. Other wearables in the Samsung fitness devices stable has also seen updates. Earlier this month the One UI update for Galaxy Watch, Gear Sport and Gear S3 was released.
Next, on the horizon, we have the Galaxy Watch successor, which most likely will be called the Galaxy Watch 2. We are expecting for this to launch alongside the Note 10.
This latest firmware update is only an 11 MB download. You should get an automatic notification about the update but you can manually check as well. Launch the Galaxy Wearable app ->scroll down to About Watch -> Select update watch software -> select update now.
