It hasn’t been that long since the Samsung Galaxy Watch got a software update, which improved Samsung health stability – but here we are again. This latest software/firmware version for the Galaxy Watch takes us to R800XXU1CSG4 / R8000XA1CSG4. It is only a fairly small update, measuring in at 15.12 MB.
Galaxy Watch gets Improved swim tracking
The update is currently available in the US but should be reaching the rest of the markets over the coming days and weeks. According to the changelog, we get Improved system reliability and disabled automated sync of Alarm from paired Smartphone to Watch. The last thing is the Samsung Galaxy Watch gets Improved tracking for Swimming.
It’s nice to actually see that Samsung is including more Information regarding their changes in the changelog. Once upon a time it just used to state “bug fixes and performance Improvements” and leave the rest up for guesswork.
All eyes are now on the potential release of the Galaxy Watch 2 or Galaxy Watch Active 2 at Samsung Unpacked next month. We have had a leak of Samsung’s 2019 wearable and tablet line-up, courtesy of CashKaro, which clearly shows a Galaxy Watch 2 on the horizon. Other sources have revealed leaked pictures of the Galaxy Watch Active 2, claiming that is the next wearable to be unveiled.
Whatever happens, we will keep you updated on the next Tizen smartwatch 🙂
