Last week, Samsung released an update for the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Watch Active to get some of the exciting features the Watch Active 2 got. Now, its the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is turn – although this update isn’t as big.
This update is available in South Korea, Germany and a few smaller markets. It should start rolling out in other markets soon so don’t be worried if you don’t have it yet. The software version is: R820XXU1BSK4 / R820OXA1BSK4.
What Does the Update Do?
This update fixes a bug that randomly disabled peoples Watch Always On mode on the smartwatch. It also improves the accuracy of calorie measurement by using the heart rate sensor.
With this update, the general stability for Bixby features have been improved – this for both the 40mm and 44mm variants of the smartwatch.
How to Update?
Like any other update, you can find this one by going into the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone. After that you select Watch software update and then pressing Download then Install. If you find that you don’t have the update yet, don’t worry, you might have to check again later. As well as this, you should get a notification when the update becomes available for you.
