The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is bringing some serious firepower to the table. With the health features compared to its predecessors, it looks pretty cool. Here are the full Galaxy Watch Active 2 fulls for your pleasure.
Dimensions
The aluminium 44mm and 40mm models weigh 30g and 26g respectively. The stainless steel 40mm and 44mm weigh 42g and 37g. Their dimensions are 44 x 44 x 10.9T and 40 x 40 x 10.9T. The 44mm cases have the dimensions 44 x 44 x 10.9T whereas the 40mm cases have the dimensions 40 x 40 x 10.9T. As you may know, the LTE model is only available in stainless steel.
Display and Battery
On the display side, the 44mm models have a 1.4-inch, 360 x 360 Super AMOLED screen. The 40mm models have a 1.2-inch, 360 x 360 Super AMOLED screen. They’re both the exact same except for the screen size. Both have an always-on display. The 44mm model has a 340mAh battery whereas the 40mm models have a 247mAh battery. Even if you are running low on battery, you can put the watch into power-saving mode.
It has an Exynos 9110 Dual-core 1.15 GHz chipset. Obviously, it runs the Tizen OS. The smartwatch recharges through WPC-based wireless charging. The watch is said to be able to last an entire day on a full battery with “normal use”.The Bluetooth model has 768MB of RAM whereas the LTE variant has 1.5MB. They both have 4GB of internal storage. On the connectivity side of things, we obviously have LTE and Bluetooth 5.0. From the LTE version, you can actually make and receive calls.

Sensors and health features
Sensors include heart rate monitoring, an electrocardiogram, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a barometer and ambient light. The electrocardiogram records the electrical activity of your heart. It shows you the rate and rhythm of the heart. Unfortunately, this feature will not be available at launch due to the fact that the feature needs FDA approval and won’t expect to be getting it until early 2020. An accelerometer measures acceleration forces. It has a 5ATM water resistance rating and a MIL-STD-810G military standard rating. The smartwatch is compatible with Android 5.0 and higher and iPhone 5 and higher – iOS 9.0 and up.
The watch can manually track 39 workouts – rowing, running, walking, elliptical trainer and more. The watch also helps you manage your stress using the stress tracker. On the Under Armour Edition of the watch, you get six months free of MapMyRun. If it senses that you’re becoming too stressed, the watch will give you some breathing exercises to make sure you’re happy and healthy. With the smart assistant in your wrist, you should definitely be able to get on top of your possibly hectic life. Roy Choi has used the smartwatch and shared how it helps him with his very hectic work schedule.
Styling your watch
The Aluminium smartwatch cases come in the fluoroelastomer strap colours Cloud Silver, Aqua Black, Pink Gold. The stainless steel cases come in the leather strap in the colours Silver, Black and Gold. Both the 44mm and the 40mm watches come with an interchangeable 20mm strap.
The ‘My Style’ feature is where you can take a picture of your outfit and the watch and it will, in turn, show you watch faces that’ll complement it well. Quite nice if you as me. As well as this neat styling feature, when you buy a watch strap and scan the QR code that comes with it, you will get a link to the Galaxy Store to download watch faces that match the strap.
That is enough of the full specs of the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Hopefully, when it’s released, it’ll look as good as it does in pixels.
