Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 – first look at new map ahead of major update

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is virtually upon us, bringing with it all of its Marvel-themed goodness.

Titled Absolute Doom this season is going to weigh in heavily when it comes to Doctor Doom, and the glimpse of the map we have seen so far shows the Battle Royale’s locations all shrouded in a green fog. Oh oh, this isn’t going to be good, is it?

In a post on X, the official Fortnite account showed the covered map saying, “Every place has a story. And every story is undiscovered… for now 😉

Help us out Marvel?”

What we know so far

Fortnite Absolute Doom map

From the Absolute Doom trailer, it is obvious that we are getting a prison added to the map, whether this is the Doctor Doom location is also unclear right now. The mist covers our favorite usual Points of Interest (POIs) such as the Brutal Beachhead and Classy Courts.

This upcoming Fortnite season promises to be a little different than others and it is clear Marvel is going to be a huge influence, so unlucky if you are not a fan. The epic (excuse the pun) size of this collaboration could well be a marker for events we will see in the game going forward, as this is pretty much a Marvel takeover in advertising parlance.

As for the meaning of these “undiscovered stories”, we will have to wait until the season launches on the 16th of August to find out more – don’t worry that is but just a few days away at this point, and we could well get some more leakers ahead of that. We are sure the likes of Shiina and HypeX are working away in the background trying to find out more information for the Fortnite masses.

Maybe we will get to find out just what is going on on that map ahead of time.
